Dutchess Community College – Materials Lab

Scope:
Converted two classrooms into a new Materials Lab for the engineering department, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system design, specialty lab equipment, lighting, and power upgrades. Minor flooring and repainting were also included.
Key Features:
  • Installed cassette mini-split HVAC systems for efficient lab conditioning.
  • Designed specialty infrastructure: fume control for benchtop furnaces & 3D printers, plumbing for quench testing, and a compressed air system with quick-connects.
  • Upgraded electrical systems with LED recessed lighting, a new panelboard, and power poles for flexible lab table use.
Outcome:

Delivered specialized lab systems to support advanced testing and prototyping, giving the college a modern, flexible environment for its engineering program.
